Responsibilities
- Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.
- Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service.
- Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components, effectively performing work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to approved technical data provided by the customer.
- Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.
- Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
- 2+ years' experience in recent line maintenance, emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights.
- Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Awareness of working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, loud noises.
- Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
- Exposed to weather conditions outside and non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
- Read and write English.
- Pass airport security background checks.
- Travel for work as required.
- Work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends to meet customer demand.
- Aircraft technician with B767 and B747 aircraft types.
- Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Training on EASA B1 standards is a plus.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-facing skills, ability to work with the flight crew and interact professionally.
- Independent and self-motivated, ability to work without direct supervision.
