Position:
Sortation Warehouse Associate (Part-Time) in Tamarac, FL for Amazon.
- Rapid Package Routing: read complex digital routing labels as packages move along the line, sorting them into specific geographical chutes or designated postal carts.
- Pallet Architecture: build stable, tightly packed pallets of boxes, which are shrink-wrapped to prevent transit damage.
- Fluid Loading Operations: use manual pallet jacks to transport wrapped pallets into outbound 18-wheeler trailers and stage them for drivers.
The sortation center is the central nervous system of the operation. Your primary objective is to group and route thousands of packages so they reach local delivery hubs quickly. This role is fast-paced, highly active, and teamwork-oriented.
The Sortation ExperienceWork in a sort center differs from a traditional fulfillment role. You handle sealed, completed packages moving through a network of conveyors. The environment is fast and loud, with strong emphasis on collaboration to keep the supply chain moving.
