In this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing the market, negotiating competitive rates with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and local suppliers, as well as developing effective pricing tools that enhance commercial management.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of the logistics industry, and the ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and customer-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies across all transport modes, ensuring profitability and market positioning.
- Analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, and carrier rates to optimize our pricing structures.
- Negotiate rates and space allocations with various carriers and agents globally.
- Create and manage rate matrices, surcharges, and pricing tools to support quotation generation by the sales team.
- Evaluate and respond to customer RFQs/RFPs, coordinating with operations to ensure cost accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze profit margins, identifying opportunities for cost and revenue optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, carrier announcements, and market conditions impacting freight rates.
- Request rates from domestic and international suppliers, seeking the best possible conditions.
- Provide support to commercial teams and agents in their pricing requirements.
- Handle different requests from commercial teams and agents (Routed - FHC).
- Quote import shipments under DAP/DDP/CIF/FOB/EXW terms and export operations.
- Request rates from shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and agents for air operations and FCL shipments. Strong negotiation skills and ability to present competitive market rates.
- Strong analytical ability for volume calculation and weight conversions.
- Strong knowledge of cargo vehicle types, dimensions, and capacities.
- Knowledge of INCO
TERMS:
FOB, DDP, DAP, CIF, EXW, etc. - High level of commitment.
- Willingness to acquire new knowledge.
- Excellent mathematical and cost analysis skills.
- Ability to make decisions and complete tasks with minimal supervision, achieving goals accurately and within deadlines.
- Proven experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry (minimum 1–2 years).
- Strong understanding of international shipping terms, Incoterms, and transportation costs.
- Advanced proficiency in rate calculations across multiple transport modes.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and results-oriented approach.
- Experience with major trade routes and understanding of seasonal trends.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with pricing structures and services of major carriers.
- Experience with relevant freight forwarding software platforms.
Includes a technical test.
