Warehouse Agent – Job Overview

As a Warehouse Agent at Alliance Ground International (AGI), you will be essential to increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving, storing, and moving inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks.
  • Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents.
  • Issue appropriate warehouse receipt or collect signed copy of delivery receipt.
  • Ensure cargo has a proper release issued by office personnel before delivery to consignee or agent.
  • Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks.
  • Break down cargo from import flights, sort as required, check freight against manifest and store in proper location in warehouse.
  • Build up cargo for export flights, following instructions of supervisor or employee directing the buildup.
  • Keep inventory of on‑hand freight, warehouse supplies, airline equipment and containers.
  • Maintain security of cargo and company equipment; report incidents such as tampering or pilferage.
  • Maintain a clean work area; report damaged or broken equipment.
  • Accept related assignments from lead agents, supervisors or management.
  • Complete paperwork and forms, enter data into AGI systems.
  • Follow company procedures, protocols and safety training requirements.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years old with high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Authorization to work in United States or Canada as required.
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
  • Ability to lift / carry / push / pull items 70 pounds (32 kg) or more regularly; lift 40‑50 pounds on raised surfaces.
  • Physical stamina to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and radio), basic math, computer skills, problem‑solving, time management.
  • One year of relevant experience preferred.
