Job Overview

Responsibilities- Develop work assignments for office agents and leads.
- Make recommendations to management on hiring, promotion, and disciplinary decisions.
- Provide training and oversight to new employees.
- Convey shipping instructions to the customer services counter.
- Retrieve import documents and deliver export documents to and from aircraft.
- Accept cargo in accordance with TSA, FAA, government, and air carrier rules and regulations.
- Accept dangerous goods in accordance with FAA regulations, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, and other applicable rules.
- Release imported international freight after review of CBP clearances and authorizations.
- Collect air freight charges.
- Handle customer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complete paperwork and forms related to work assignments and enter data into the company’s information system.
- Follow company procedures and protocols to maintain safety and responsibility.
- Complete required training from the company, airport governing authority, or customer as needed.
- Be on time, prepared, and committed to safety.
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of yourself and others.
- Cooperate with managers or supervisors to comply with legal requirements imposed on the company.
- Refrain from intentionally or recklessly interfering with or misusing company assets.
- Report hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to the manager or supervisor.
- Follow company and carrier safety and security procedures, attend required training, and fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.
A office supervisor must have the physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items up to 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis, and to lift items weighing 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces. The role also requires alertness to moving vehicles or aircraft and the ability to use radio equipment while working around jet and machinery noise in a warehouse environment.

- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the respective country (United States or Canada). In the U.S., must meet Immigration Reform Act of 1986 requirements. In Canada, must meet Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of 2001 requirements.
- Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
- Secure a Customs Seal through the appropriate governing agency, if required by customer or role access.
- One or more years of cargo agent experience.
Work flexible schedules to accommodate operational demands such as flight delays, cancellations, and ad‑hoc assignments. Strict adherence to company attendance policies is required.
