Drive and operate a dump truck (up to 150 tons) equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, and stone.

• Drive and operate the truck to transport and dump materials
• Pull lever or turn cranks to tilt the body and dump contents
• Operate hand and foot controls to move the truck forward or back to loosen and dump material adhering to the body of the truck
• Operate other mechanical equipment to load the truck
• Maintain and check equipment, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Prepare operational check‑list and report malfunctions that require repair
• Perform safety walk‑around inspection before each shift
• Fuel and clean the truck cab
• Assist or replace other workers as needed or directed
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

• Prior experience operating similar equipment or trucks
• Be able to read, write, and speak English
• High school diploma preferred
• Bilingual a plus

• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions and handle simple problems from standardized situations
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, two‑digit numbers, and units of measurement
• Ability to read English sufficiently for all job functions
• Basic English language skills to recognize words and differences between words
• Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly
• Ability to operate equipment in reverse using mirrors
• Basic mechanical knowledge to detect potential breakdowns of equipment
• High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to operate a truck safely in heavy traffic areas

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

• Perform all job functions, including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, and climbing to a significant degree
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with employees, visitors, and to function safely around heavy rolling equipment
• Must be able to perform all job functions, which may include pushing, turning, and/or pulling controls
