The Vault Assistant is responsible for assisting with our vault operations. This position ensures that inventory is maintained in the vaults as well as the security, safety, and efficient functioning of the Vault. We function in an armed environment and require the enforcement of rules to maintain a good work environment and flow of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Count items, record amounts, weight, and serial numbers, as well as sign and date receipts and manifests
- Check-in import and pull
- Process and scan out export pieces
- Sort individual cargo items by route
- Load and unload carts with bags of goods
- Confirm the accuracy of the Master Airway bill
- Check individual numbers or seals on bags to confirm house numbers and/or change shipments against the seals accompanying each bag or against the provided manifests
- Verbal communication with import/export departments and with customers as needed
Requirements
- Valid/unexpired firearms permit
- Must have proficiency in using scanning devices
- Intermediate to Expert proficiency with processing UPS and Fed Ex Shipments
- Heavy lifting of up to 150lbs
- Minimum of 1-year experience in logistics, freight forward, or shipping with high-valued goods
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a vault with cash, jewelry, or other commodities
- Loading and unloading bags, boxes, or carts weighing at least 30lbs (max. 150 lbs.) several times per day
- Basic math skills with expert proficiency in counting, adding, subtracting, and balancing columns of numbers
- Proficiency with technology and computer devices
- Ability to push wagons, carts, buggies, and dollies loaded with cargo weighing up to
- Proficiency with using a forklift and/or pallet jack
- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn, and reach without restrictions throughout the shift.
