Air Freight Gateway Operations Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding ("DGF") manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. The company is part of Deutsche Post DHL, the world's leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries.

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operational system
• Track and trace Air Import MAWB files and reporting
• Communicate import information to overseas partners and customers
• Interact with internal customers to arrange international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, including airline carriers and trucking companies
• Meet compliance with internal and external regulations, including government regulations
• Understand department process flow and identify best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with company procedures
• Handle overseas communications, responding to emails and requests in a timely manner
• Escalate problems to management when necessary

• 3+ years of related Air Import experience
• Understanding of air documentation processes is a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro‑active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
• IATA dangerous goods certification (preferred)
• Ability to work independently
• Punctuality

• Compensation: Competitive base salary plus role‑dependent performance‑based incentives
• 401(k) Match: $1‑for‑$1 match up to 4% quarterly + 2% annual base contribution

Pay Range: $21.32 - $28.43/hr. (Based on Experience)
