DRY BULK SHIP OPERATOR

Located in Miami

Cobelfret is a well-established group of dry bulk shipping companies with offices in Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, Miami and Antwerp. We operate worldwide a time-chartered and owned fleet of about 100 vessels ranging from handysize to capesize. For our branch office in Miami, FL, Cobelfret is looking for a Dry Bulk Ship Operator to strengthen its handysize division. Within this challenging position, your main objective will be to ensure the smooth, efficient, and commercially sound execution of shipments and contracts.

• Managing all day-to-day operational aspects of assigned vessels and voyages;
• Communicating daily with internal teams in Antwerp and Singapore;
• Closely monitoring and coordinating vessel operations with a focus on optimizing P&L performance;
• Liaising, in accordance with contractual obligations, with all relevant parties (masters, owners, agents, charterers, brokers, etc.);
• Timely, accurate, and diligent administration of operational activities;
• Proactively preventing and resolving disputes;

• Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship;
• You have a significant experience of minimum 3 years in the operations department of a dry bulk shipping company;
• Degree or diploma from a college or university relevant to the maritime and/or shipping industry is a plus;
• A competent, diligent, responsible, and detail-oriented professional;
• Motivated to expand expertise, achieve goals, and fully integrate into a high-performing international team;
• Able to make decisions under pressure, and equipped with strong analytical and reasoning skills;
• Willingness to travel as required;
• Fluent in English;
  Spanish is a plus. Additional languages are an advantage;
• A previous sailing experience will be considered as an advantage;
• Having worked with IMOS
  -software will be considered as an advantage;
