Air and Ocean Import Specialist

We are a global leader in time-critical and expedited logistics, providing customized transportation solutions for the Aerospace, Life Sciences, Automotive, and Semiconductor industries.

We are seeking an Air/Ocean Import Operations Specialist to manage international import shipments, primarily air freight, with support for ocean imports as well. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of urgency, accuracy, and proactive customer communication.

• Coordinate air/ocean import shipments from arrival through customs clearance, recovery, and final delivery.
• Monitor shipments and provide proactive status updates to customers.
• Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, truckers, overseas agents, and global offices.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve delays, customs issues, documentation problems, and other shipment exceptions.
• Follow customer SOPs, routing instructions, and compliance requirements.
• Support expedited, onboard courier, next flight out, and other time-critical shipments.
• Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation in the TMS system.

• Freight forwarding, international logistics, or import operations experience preferred.
• Air import experience strongly preferred; ocean experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong sense of urgency and ownership from shipment arrival through final delivery.
