Dispatcher - DOT

Position Overview: This role involves dispatching loads for professional drivers, primarily Class A CDL holders, ensuring smooth daily operations. The dispatcher communicates instructions, assigns equipment, coordinates activities, and manages deviations from plans. A key focus is fostering a safety culture, resolving issues promptly, and updating relevant stakeholders.

• Review routing and scheduling plans, dispatch routes, and ensure all assignments are covered.
• Relay information and instructions to drivers, providing support for successful daily performance.
• Develop coverage plans for uncovered loads and communicate updates effectively.
• Utilize communication channels to address operational issues such as delivery adjustments, safety incidents, and compliance.
• Engage with drivers, elevate issues, and suggest solutions to management.
• Update dispatch systems accurately, conduct driver debriefs, and review paperwork.
• Answer calls professionally, troubleshoot issues, and ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations.
• Complete safety observations and promote best work practices.

• Knowledge of CDL, DOT, OSHA regulations, and general computing skills.
• Effective multi-tasking, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience in high-paced dispatching environments (2-5 years required).
