Job Overview
Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within the warehouse by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to lead and direct team efforts in a warehouse environment.
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information such as labels.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arranges product in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
Leads a group of 10+ employees in the warehouse operation, motivating and directing team efforts while informing the department supervisor of problems or potential issues that require immediate attention.

Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer
Skills:
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is helpful. Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
