We are seeking an Assistant Inventory Manager to support the execution of APM Terminals’ global warehouse and inventory strategy at the terminal level. In this role, you will apply a criticality‑based approach to ensure spare parts availability while balancing inventory cost, safety, and asset reliability. You will work closely with Asset Management, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and HSSE to ensure inventory practices align with maintenance requirements, safety standards, and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and timely inventory records within the inventory management system (IFS), ensuring data integrity for part numbers, units of measure, and descriptions
- Coordinate and execute cycle counts and support annual physical inventory processes, including investigation and documentation of discrepancies
- Support reconciliation activities between inventory records and Finance, ensuring proper documentation of receipts, issues, and adjustments
- Monitor slow‑moving and obsolete inventory and prepare periodic reporting with recommendations for management review
- Track minimum and maximum stock levels and recommend adjustments based on usage trends and criticality of assets
- Ensure parts availability to support maintenance of terminal equipment, including RTGs, top loaders, yard equipment, and reefer assets
- Develop, maintain, and report inventory KPIs and warehouse performance dashboards to support data‑driven decision‑making
- Coordinate with Procurement to monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery timelines
- Communicate parts availability and delivery status to maintenance planners and supervisors to support maintenance readiness
- Promote safe warehouse operations by participating in safety walks, inspections, and corrective action follow‑up
