Shipping Clerk

Overview

Full Time position located in Davie, FL. Primary objective is to receive and ship parts for repair and/or service by in-house technicians. Secondary objective is to ensure bin accuracy and product integrity.

• Receive parts for service, repairs or customers, unpack, check, sort and label, open crates and containers, check in and update logs, sort and place products on transit carts, and store them in bin shelves according to predetermined bin sequence and procedures.
• Pick and ship parts orders and/or international orders. Enter shipments into computer systems, look up and compute freight or postal rates, record weight and cost, prepare shipping documents and labels, package goods for shipping, and relay accounts receivable and credit card terms for release.
• Maintain shipping and receiving discrepancy logs and update for process improvement purposes.
• Support inventory management processes and assist with counting physical inventory when applicable.
• Wear proper safety equipment as required.

High school diploma or GED; three months or more experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in shipping/receiving. Forklift certification is preferred.

Good communication and time-management skills. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow established procedures, keeping accurate records. Proficiency with shipping systems (UPS and Fed Ex) and MS Excel and Word. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.

Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Frequently stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally sit and climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently up to fifty pounds, and occasionally more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work may be performed outside of a climate-controlled environment.
