Transit & Stock Lead Volunteer - Northern Territory

In this hands-on and impactful role, you’ll help ensure vital donations are organised, managed, and delivered where they’re needed most. You’ll oversee stock moving in and out of transit sheds, supporting tasks such as packing boxes, moving stock, and handling materials safely. Keeping everything running smoothly, you’ll ensure all stock movements are accurately logged and tracked while coordinating volunteers to assist with counting, packing, and loading.

You’ll play a key role in managing quarterly stocktakes with volunteer support, as well as organising the storage and distribution of event kits, merchandise, and other materials. During campaigns, you’ll support the NT Team to ensure there is adequate storage space and efficient stock flow. This role also involves regularly attending local storage sheds, making it ideal for someone based nearby.

On the shipping side, you’ll act as the main point of contact for stock movement to and from transit sheds across the NT. You’ll coordinate pallet collections with shipping providers, ensure stock is properly counted, packed, labelled, and ready for transport, and liaise with Transit and Stock Leads nationwide to move stock across the country. You’ll also work closely with the Charity Partners Lead to coordinate delivery of stock once it arrives in your state.
