Machine Process Technician

The Machine Process Technician is responsible for production mold changes into injection plastics presses and all fluid and electrical connections required for the mold to run effectively. In addition, the Process Tech will troubleshoot and make repairs and adjustments throughout the shift to ensure that production runs are completed in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

Communicate directly and clearly with your team and shift supervisor to ensure effective transition from shift to shift.

Follow all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE as required.

Ensure safe operation of running presses.

Troubleshoot and repair/adjust running presses.

Overhead gantry style crane operation via remote control.

Remove and reinstall mold assemblies as required according to schedule.

Route and connect required coolant and electrical connections.

Program control units to specifications to run production.

Verify and certify proper operation of presses and molds installed by other team members.

Clean up debris and any spillage from mold changes to allow for machine start-up.

Perform machine maintenance as required.

Lifting over 50 lbs and operating torque wrenches and various tools is routine to this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, climb, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
