Accounting Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant (Senior Accountant) to support our clients with critical accounting and financial reporting functions. This individual will work on a project or interim basis, providing hands‑on accounting expertise, ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and assisting with month‑end close and other key accounting initiatives.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail‑oriented, and able to quickly integrate into new environments while partnering effectively with finance leadership.

• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform cash, fixed asset, prepaid, accrual, and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with revenue recognition and lease accounting as applicable.
• Support ERP implementations, system conversions, and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner with cross‑functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting.
• Document accounting procedures and recommend best practices.
• Complete special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
