About

The Role

As a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting & Reporting, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of Accelevation’s financial reporting and accounting processes. You will support complex accounting matters, contributing to accurate, timely financial reporting. Working closely with finance leadership, cross-functional teams, and external auditors, you will help build scalable accounting processes that support the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Accounting
    • Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP
    • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
    • Maintain reporting schedules and ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and precision
    • Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support financial reporting requirements
  • Technical Accounting
    • Research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues and emerging accounting standards
    • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and position papers on matters such as revenue recognition, leases, and business combinations
    • Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements and assist with implementation planning
    • Support technically complex accounting areas through preparation of journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP
    • Assist with internal controls documentation and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a complex corporate accounting environment
  • Experience with technical accounting research and financial reporting preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to research and interpret accounting guidance and apply it to business situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to management
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Employees must be able to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, keyboards, and printers.
  • This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, analyzing financial information, and reviewing detailed reports. Employees may occasionally be required to stand, walk, or lift office materials.
  • The work environment is primarily an office setting with moderate noise levels and frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams.
