Overview
Seeking Engineer with 5+ years of development experience to contribute to and lead applied product development programs.
Responsibilities- Lead aircraft configuration and integration from concept through detailed design
- Lead definition and analysis of vehicle requirements
- Perform aircraft conceptual design and sizing for derivative and clean sheet aircraft
- Lead configuration and integration of aerodynamic design, preliminary structural design layouts, systems sizing, and systems arrangements in a team environment
- Perform aircraft aerodynamics and performance analysis within a variety of modeling environments
- Support implementation of aircraft stability and control
- Implement open-source flight control and associated mission planning software
- Establish aircraft geometry
- Perform trade studies on systems and components of advanced concepts and aerospace platforms
- Lead and coordinate within a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Present detailed data and design recommendations based on findings and prepare reports, presentations, drawings, and other engineering data
- Possess FAA 107 Drone Pilot License or ability to obtain desired
- Other duties may be assigned
- Exclusive US citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of STEM related engineering experience, or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience, or STEM PhD with 0 years of experience
- 5 years of experience supporting the design and modeling of advanced air vehicle concepts
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
