Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Review project proposals and plans to determine project scope, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of a project
- Develop and maintain project schedules, review status reports, and implement schedule modifications as required
- Manage projects from order receipt through customer acceptance and final payment
- Plan and coordinate project personnel and resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Assists in coordinating the logistics of machines from their European supplier. Including U.S. Customs clearance and domestic transportation
- Interfaces with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems
- Interfaces with equipment suppliers regarding project requirements and schedules
- Coordinates the delivery of supplier components in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Maintain project-related technical documentation and records
- Coordinates the information exchange between customer, RSM and internal groups
- Support Service and Applications Engineers in the field with questions and concerns while at customers
- Assists in maintaining technical information database for product groups
- Assists with the procurement of project related purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services, as assigned
- Investigates new developments related to material and supplies and suggest procedures designed to reduce costs and improve quality
- Participates in applicable training to increase knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve higher level project engineering position requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) in a related discipline; and three to seven years related experience and/or technical certification or equivalent combination of education and related job experience - Basic to intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical blueprint reading and trouble shooting skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (ex: Excel, Word and Outlook), Microsoft Project
- Experience in customer relations; communicating with and solving customer problems
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
Ability to conduct business in the German language - PSP certification
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles and moderate noise level
