Job Summary
SNC’s Military Fellowship Program partners with Skill Bridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide up to six months of on‑the‑job industry training to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. This role is for an active‑duty Configuration Analyst (not for veterans already separated), who will manage the configuration of our engineering and manufacturing products using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Configuration Analyst you will plan and coordinate the preparation of product structure to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and industry standards. Tasks include input and accuracy of product data such as Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs), auditing the Configuration Management system’s usage, and verifying product configuration.
EligibilityMust be currently serving on active duty and be eligible to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program.
Qualifications – Must Have- Currently serving as active‑duty military and eligible for the DoD Skill Bridge program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (0‑2 years of relevant experience; a higher degree may substitute for experience).
- Experience in detailed documentation, problem‑solving, and project management.
- Familiarity with multi‑disciplinary design and development teams.
- Exposure to Documentation Control Database systems.
- Experience using PDM/PLM systems such as Windchill, Enovia, 3
DEXPERIENCE software, and CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Creo, NX, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD, and CATIA. - Background in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
- Knowledge of industry‑standard design principles, including parametric design, model‑based definition, material selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes.
- Understanding of the engineering release and control process for all data associated with system, mechanical, electrical, printed circuit board, and/or software products.
- Experience with AS9100, ISO
9001, EIA‑649, MIL‑HDBK‑61, IEEE
828, and/or CMMI. - Ability to rapidly work on projects involving both small and large Engineering, Operations, and Program Management teams.
- Skilled in product configuration definition and product structure development; ability to generate and maintain compliant product structures.
- Certification in Configuration Management disciplines.
- Military background in Information Technology, Aviation Electronics, or Cyber Network Operations.
