As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, simulate, integrate, test, certify, and support cutting‑edge products and services spanning mission payloads, electronic systems, aircraft, and space exploration systems.
You’ll be responsible for designing systems to meet demanding customer requirements, developing and building complex systems integration labs to verify the design, and integrating a variety of systems together to create a seamless product for the customer.
- Exhibit expert‑level skills in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
- Oversee and lead complex system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management activities.
- Manage major project deliverables and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage deep knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Provide strong leadership and effective communication.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10 or more years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
- Understanding of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
- Hands‑on experience with networking protocols, hardware/software interface issues, and system/subsystem integration.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and computer networking.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve hardware/software interface issues effectively and identify capability gaps.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of system integration lab operation, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) design.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment, automation, and monitoring.
- Experience with virtualized and containerized environment architecture, setup, administration and deployment (e.g., vSphere, Proxmox, RHEL KVM, Open Shift).
- ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ certification.
- Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts and to develop innovative technical solutions.
- Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product.
- Experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or U.S. Military.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required; non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
