At American Cutting Edge, we design and manufacture custom industrial blades and cutting solutions used in food processing, packaging, recycling, medical, and other specialized industries. As a Mechanical Engineering Co‑op or Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain valuable exposure to product design, manufacturing, customer collaboration, and problem‑solving.
What You'll Do- Create and modify detailed product drawings using AutoCAD.
- Reverse‑engineer existing parts and develop technical drawings from samples.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing engineering drawing databases.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to support customer projects.
- Communicate with customers regarding product specifications and technical details.
- Participate in real‑world engineering projects from concept through production.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, custom product development, and industrial applications.
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with or coursework in AutoCAD drafting software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in how products are designed and manufactured.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with engineering terminology and drafting principles preferred.
