Mechanical Engineer Intern

At American Cutting Edge, we design and manufacture custom industrial blades and cutting solutions used in food processing, packaging, recycling, medical, and other specialized industries. As a Mechanical Engineering Co‑op or Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain valuable exposure to product design, manufacturing, customer collaboration, and problem‑solving.

• Create and modify detailed product drawings using AutoCAD.
• Reverse‑engineer existing parts and develop technical drawings from samples.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing engineering drawing databases.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to support customer projects.
• Communicate with customers regarding product specifications and technical details.
• Participate in real‑world engineering projects from concept through production.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, custom product development, and industrial applications.

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with or coursework in AutoCAD drafting software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in how products are designed and manufactured.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with engineering terminology and drafting principles preferred.
