We are looking for 2027 graduates to fill the position of Entry-level Structural Engineer for our Buildings Practice in Dayton, Ohio
. The structural engineer will analyze, design, plan, and create structural components and structural systems to achieve design goals for LJB clients.

Annual Compensation:$70, based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

• Ability to complete structural calculations for structural systems including superstructures, foundations, and floor slabs.
• Assists with the preparation of construction documents needed for vertical building structures.
• Coordinates with design staff to ensure accurate document and drawing production.
• Communicates with the team and clients regarding project issues and attends meetings under the direction of a supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining technical knowledge through completion of various training initiatives: attending seminars, reviewing professional publications, attending in-house systems/management training.

• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Occasionally visits work site, monitoring project progress and reports findings.
• Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Open to future growth of their position into a Project Manager role, if desired.

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering with structural emphasis required.
• The ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within four years is desired.

• CAD experience (Revit and Bluebeam preferred) STRAP or other structural analysis software experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
