The Information Services (IS) Project Manager manages visible, high‑impact technology projects that support the firm’s legal and business operations. This role is well suited for a project leader who can bring structure, judgment, and momentum to complex initiatives involving cross‑functional teams, stakeholders at multiple levels, vendors, and evolving business needs. The Project Manager delivers projects of moderate to high complexity from definition through implementation, including project planning, budget tracking and resource coordination, project team leadership, vendor and stakeholder coordination, risk and issue management, testing coordination, and clear day‑to‑day communications.
With the firm’s growing focus on artificial intelligence, the role also includes managing delivery of AI and emerging‑technology initiatives, partnering with Business Relationship Managers and stakeholders to convert defined use cases and business needs into well‑scoped, executable projects.
The Project Manager supports portfolio visibility for assigned work by identifying cross‑project dependencies, resource constraints, sequencing considerations, and delivery risks that may affect assigned projects or related initiatives. The role also includes maintaining governance artifacts, coordinating stakeholder readiness and transition to steady‑state operations with business owners, BRMs, technical teams, and change management resources, and participating in post‑implementation review to assess adoption, benefits realization, lessons learned, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Develop an understanding of stakeholder business processes, pain points, and needs; support business analysis activities, including requirements and use case definition, solution evaluation, and problem identification and resolution.
- Define, estimate, and document the scope of assigned technology projects in partnership with multi‑functional teams and key stakeholders.
- Develop practical project plans that translate approved business needs into deliverables, timelines, budget considerations, resource needs, roles, dependencies, testing, and implementation activities.
- Manage project execution using project management best practices; track progress against schedule, budget, resource, scope, and quality expectations; coordinate assigned resources; and communicate material variances or constraints.
- Identify, escalated, and help resolve action items, issues, risks, and decisions that could affect delivery, business continuity, or stakeholder commitments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects; prepare clear status materials for IS management and key stakeholders; lead project status, checkpoint, and deliverable review meetings; and manage stakeholder expectations through timely communication and escalation.
- Manage assigned AI and emerging‑technology projects, coordinating execution across Business Relationship Managers, stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and related business processes, including responsible use of AI, automation, and other enabling tools where they add practical value.
