The System Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining electronic data interchange (EDI) and application programming interface (API) integrations between internal systems, external partners, and third-party applications at Covation Global / United Wheels Inc. This role ensures seamless data flow, system interoperability, and the reliability of mission-critical integrations that support business operations such as supply chain, finance, logistics, and customer service.
WhyThis Role Matters
Covation Global runs on data moving cleanly between systems and trading partners — purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, and the many transactions that connect supply chain, finance, logistics, and customer service. When an integration fails, the impact is immediate: orders stall, files don’t post, and partners are left waiting. The System Integration Specialist is the person who keeps those connections reliable — building and maintaining the EDI and API integrations, monitoring the daily data exchange, and resolving issues quickly when something breaks.
Done well, this role keeps mission-critical data flowing accurately and on time, onboards new partners smoothly, and protects the operations that depend on dependable system-to-system communication.
- Reliable, Uninterrupted Data Exchange: EDI and API integrations run reliably day to day, with file transfers, loads, and transaction acknowledgments monitored and issues diagnosed and resolved quickly to minimize disruption to the business.
- Smooth Partner & System Onboarding: New trading partners and API consumers/providers are onboarded efficiently, with requirements gathered, data accurately mapped and validated, and solutions tested for a smooth deployment.
- Accurate, Well-Documented Integrations: Data maps, integration specifications, and process flows are accurate and well-maintained, and integrations meet the operational needs and timelines of the business units they support.
