Join our production team at Avery Dennison! We are seeking a performance‑driven Press Operator who wants to truly own their piece of machinery. In this role, you will execute precise setups, operate multiple presses, and utilize your technical curiosity to investigate equipment malfunctions down to their root cause, ensuring high‑quality, zero‑defect output. Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Machine Operation & Setup:
Prepare cylinders, mount plates, adjust ink fountains/rollers, load supply rolls, and process setups for precise production runs. - Deliver High-Quality Work:
Interpret order specifications, monitor close tolerances using overlay gauges, and inspect tools to ensure strict quality standards. - Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Investigate equipment abnormalities to find the root cause of failures and perform proactive preventative maintenance. - Collaboration & Safety:
Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO 90001 work instructions, and Operator Process Verification (OPV). Partner across teams to reach site goals. - Data Entry:
Use basic computer literacy skills to accurately report finished production and complete related documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of printing press operation experience.
- Demonstrated experience operating flexographic machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and sharp attention to detail.
- Basic math calculations proficiency and comfort learning PC software for production reporting.
- Ability to read shop scales and follow verbal or written instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 40 lbs., and maneuver heavier materials utilizing plant lift aids or hand trucks.
