Production Scheduler/Planner Job Purpose

The Warehouse Production Scheduler will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate production planning and scheduling, assisting in the review of inventory levels, and optimizing warehouse productivity. The incumbent will report to the Production Supervisor.

We are searching for an experienced & energetic Production Scheduler in Dayton, OH.

  • Create and monitor an official production plan using various software and programs to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor and warehoususe team to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for the warehouse are conducive to the production plan
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing team to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize planning and manage lead times
  • Monitor and review inventory levels, shipments, and schedules
  • Have awareness of warehouse activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, purchasing team, and transportation team to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide regular reports and updates on production planning including concerns and successes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred
  • SAP experience required
  • 3+ years of production scheduling experience
  • Proven experience as a warehouse scheduler or similar role
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards for warehouse operations
Skills & Personal Characteristics
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office, with intermediate excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
