Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN​/LVN

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit
• Gather and report patient data
• Carry out orders
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
• Current BLS certification required
• BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Demonstrates proficiency in providing nursing care under the direction of an RN, including gathering patient data and performing therapeutic procedures. Holds necessary certifications and licensure to ensure compliance with state regulations and hospital policies.
