Your ImpactAs a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure our Ohio facilities are safe, operational, and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll utilize multiple craft skills, including light carpentry, material handling, and the use of hand and power tools to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets. You’ll respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, diagnose issues, and keep accurate documentation of work completed.
This role combines hands-on technical skill with problem-solving, safety awareness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing and corporate sites running smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets such as patching walls, painting, carpentry, and fixing plumbing fixtures
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to minimize downtime, including completing critical work outside of core business hours when necessary
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Conduct routine checks, replace filters, change light bulbs, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Complete Work Orders accurately and efficiently, documenting all maintenance tasks using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness, including janitorial support/oversight
- Set up/break down furniture for meetings or events, and handle shipping/receiving of materials
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and complete all required equipment training
- Maintain high standards by keeping facilities in top shape and properly documenting work
- Operate and maintain facility equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other specialized machinery
- Maintain inventory of facility-related parts, tools, and supplies, and coordinate procurement when necessary
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment status
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other staff to ensure efficient facility operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, general repair, or a related field
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot facilities issues
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and compliance with workplace regulations
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to move up and down ladders frequently.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
