Our client is a well respected and award winning GC based in NWI boasting over 100 years of delivering successful Healthcare, Higher Education, and Commercial projects across Chicagoland and Indiana thanks to their 4 regional offices.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are planned, coordinated, and completed in a timely, efficient, and profitable manner. This role oversees all aspects of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout and maintains full accountability for project performance.
Experience / Qualifications- 10+ years of construction experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Ability to pass standard background and screening requirements
- Willingness to pursue additional training and professional development
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and project delivery methods
- Proven ability to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and cost projections
- Experience managing contracts, change orders, and risk mitigation
- Skilled in coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising field teams and mentoring staff
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Partner with preconstruction teams to develop budgets, proposals, and schedules
- Oversee project setup, including cost tracking, billing structures, and scheduling
- Lead procurement and buyout of subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Manage day-to-day project execution, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals are met
- Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and billing
- Oversee change management processes, including documentation and approvals
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and field communication to resolve issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies
- Lead project closeout, including punch list completion and final documentation
- Mentor and support project managers and engineers
- Projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents
- Financial projections are accurate and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- High levels of client satisfaction and repeat business
- Accurate, timely, and complete project documentation
- Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Salary from $125k to $150k + $8750 / year car allowance
