Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Network Administrator
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software.
- Configure complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols.
- Participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans.
- Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across teams.
- Report issues and follow data center procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or infrastructure issues as they arise.
- Maintain the security and integrity of data, tracking media to ensure proper data security and disposal.
- Disassemble equipment that has reached end‑of‑life through part replacement or maintenance.
- Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure based on identified issues.
- Experience with component‑level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
- Experience with networking protocols.
- Physical ability to lift or move 50 lb (23 kg) of equipment and to exert oneself physically over extended periods—including bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work non‑standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift‑based schedules as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. (Preferred)
- Four years of experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems. (Preferred)
- Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment. (Preferred)
- Experience with Linux operating systems. (Preferred)
- Experience in project management and leadership, and collaborating and partnering with teams. (Preferred)
- Experience with performing component‑level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment or in a similar role such as systems administrator, network deployment engineer, or help desk technician. (Preferred)
US: $95,000 – $135,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
