To receive, sort, price, tag, and stock donations, maintaining the flow of donations from drive‑thru to sales floor, and generally aid in the smooth operation of a fast‑paced retail store. This position reports to Store Manager and/or Production Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions- Sort, price, and tag donated textiles at a minimum rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH), maintaining quality standards.
- Retrieve Textile Production Sheet at the beginning of each shift and turn it in upon completion.
- Transport carts containing items to be processed.
- Process donations promptly.
- Dispose of trash into designated True Trash receptacles as needed.
- Organize racks for efficient stocking.
Training Level: Below 80 PPH – $11/hour. Four weeks to achieve 80 PPH; if not reached, coaching provided. After eight weeks, if 80 PPH not met, termination may be considered.
- Level 2: 80‑90 PPH – $15/hour upon reaching 80 PPH for the first time.
- Level 3 (High Performers): 91‑110 PPH – $16/hour (requires a 3‑week average of at least 91 before pay change effective).
- Level 4 (High Performers): 111‑130+ PPH – $17/hour (requires a 3‑week average of at least 111 before pay change effective).
If PPH drops below 80, the employee will receive a three‑week improvement period before progressive discipline, including coaching and warnings that expire after six months.
Once Level 3 or 4 is reached, maintaining PPH to stay at high performer pay level is required. If PPH falls below this level, a three‑week improvement period is implemented. Failure may lead to performance discussions and pay adjustments.
Additional Expectations- Daily recording of PPH for tracking purposes is mandatory.
- Z‑racks are considered 100 pieces per rack.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Adherence to standard retail practices and dress code.
- Familiarity with current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, brand names, etc.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Tactful communication with the public and co‑workers.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible availability.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, push, pull, reach above shoulder level, crouch, stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, use head and neck in a twisting or static motion, look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to utilize light industrial equipment including:
- Tagging gun, stickers, tags, standard office supplies.
- Pallet stacker, pallet jack.
- Compactor (must be 18+ to operate).
