Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs accurately and efficiently according to repair orders, dealership standards, and Ford factory guidelines
- Diagnose diesel engine and vehicle system concerns and complete necessary repairs
- Complete repairs within current skill level while continuing to expand technical expertise
- Inspect vehicles to identify additional safety or maintenance needs
- Communicate findings and recommendations with Service Advisors and Dispatch
- Accurately document all repairs and recommendations on repair orders
- Road test vehicles when necessary to verify repairs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ford Certified Diesel Technician experience required
- Minimum of 2+ years working on Ford diesel vehicles
- ASE certifications preferred
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical background
- Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Willingness to submit to a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to push or maneuver disabled vehicles
- Stand for extended periods
- Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Strong fine and gross motor skills for tool and equipment operation
- Ability to work with varying lighting conditions and digital screens
- Visual acuity to identify fine mechanical details
