Working Arrangement:
Hybrid, 3 days/week in office; after training period

Summary:

The Staff Accountant is a versatile and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting cross-functional accounting and finance team members and activities across multiple departments within the organization. This role plays a vital part in financial reporting, contract administration, invoicing, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform job cost accounting for multiple construction projects
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R)
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Track progress billing, change orders, and retention payments
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
• Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs and profitability
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements and reports
• Handle audit preparation and support external auditors
• Use construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Quick Books, Viewpoint, or Procore)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of job costing and WIP schedules
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
