Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Holly, Michigan. This contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to vital financial operations while enhancing your skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts payable and receivable, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct coding of invoices and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Manage check runs, including preparation and distribution.
- Handle light accounts receivable tasks, such as invoicing and payment tracking.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies by collaborating with relevant teams.
- Utilize financial software systems to maintain accurate records and streamline operations.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address payment-related inquiries.
- Support month-end closing processes by providing relevant accounts payable and receivable data. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate-level skills.
- Familiarity with financial software systems, such as Accumatica or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage financial data.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and team members.
- Problem-solving abilities to address inventory and financial discrepancies.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
