This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Tax Accountant located in Northville, MI. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements, ensuring tax compliance, and providing expert guidance on tax-related matters. This role involves collaborating with small business clients to understand and address their accounting and tax needs. Additional responsibilities include working on financial reporting, overseeing tax planning strategies, and assisting with the preparation of accounting records in line with company and regulatory standards.
This is a team lead role that will oversee the production of monthly financial statements, and annual tax preparation and tax planning with a team of off‑shore bookkeepers, staff accountants, and tax specialists, in addition to directly developing and servicing a book of your own high‑value clients.
Qualifications- Experience with Tax Preparation, Tax Compliance, and broad knowledge of Tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Accounting and Financial Statements analysis and preparation.
- Strong understanding of tax planning strategies and ability to provide financial advisory support to clients.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or EA certification is required.
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online required. Pro Advisor strongly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate financial concepts effectively.
