Staff Accountant | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Whitehall seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close activities, including accruals and reclassifications.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support inventory costing and reconciliation processes.
• Participate in annual audit preparations and provide requested documentation.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
