Staff Accountant | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Delta Township that are seeking Staff Accountants. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead variances.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, verifying accuracy and proper coding.
• Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
