Staff Accountant

Salary: $60-$65K

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's accounting team. This role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, account reconciliations, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, ethical, highly organized, and comfortable collaborating across departments to support plant and corporate accounting needs.

• Perform general cost accounting and other core accounting duties
• Reconcile customer accounts and manage accounts receivable collections
• Prepare and maintain assigned general ledger accounts
• Post journal entries and support month‑end close activities
• Provide reporting related to cash, labor, and taxes
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including gathering documentation for annual audits
• Support the development and adherence to financial policies and internal controls
• Assist plant locations in resolving accounting issues
• Manage T&E coding, corporate credit cards, prepaid expenses, liabilities, banking, and cash management
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting as needed
• Serve as backup to other accounting team members
• Provide clerical and administrative support to department and office managers as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 1–2 years of relevant professional experience OR minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ethical mindset with a strong commitment to internal controls
• Well‑organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
