Work Arrangement

OverviewThe Senior Property Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple properties within a hospitality environment. This role supports accurate financial management, provides actionable insights to leadership, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain general ledgers for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Develop financial forecasts and perform variance analysis to support business decisions
- Oversee accounting for multiple locations, including related assets and property operations
- Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with department leaders
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement
- Oversee accounts payable processes for assigned properties
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax and personal property tax (PPT)
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with operations leadership to provide financial insights that support performance and profitability
- Support audit processes and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to promote overall financial health
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
- Experience in hospitality, property management, or a related industry preferred
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to support operational needs outside of traditional responsibilities when needed
- High level of accountability, adaptability, and attention to detail
