Keenan Marina is seeking a knowledgeable, hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of a growing, multi-location marina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic financial oversight and day-to-day accounting leadership in a dynamic, seasonal business environment.

Responsibilities- Manage accounting operations across multiple locations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain an accurate general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial accuracy
- Ensure proper revenue recording across various operating lines
- Supervise an Office Manager responsible for payroll and administrative functions
- Review payroll for compliance with federal and Michigan regulations
- Assist leadership with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor financial performance by location and department
- Oversee sales tax reporting and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with external accountants for year-end reporting and tax preparation
- Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience
- Full-cycle accounting experience in a small or mid-sized business
- Experience supervising accounting or administrative staff preferred
- Multi-location or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books Online (QBO), Sage, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
