, the region’s leader in design-build construction, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Houghton, Michigan or the surrounding area.

• $70,000 - $105,000 annual starting salary based on your experience.
• Discretionary bonus based on personal contributions and company results.

• Lead and mentor a small team (2-4 staff members).
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, collections and vendor payments.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
• Work with leadership to track project costs, financial performance, and budgetary items.
• Review, procure and manage business and health insurance programs.
• Assist with employee benefits and retirement plan administration.

• Strong leadership & communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial reporting & accounting functions required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field preferred;
  Master's degree a bonus.
• Accounting experience in the construction industry a bonus.
• Knowledge of business insurance, 401(k), and employee benefits.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with a positive attitude.
• A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset is essential.
