** About the Opportunity:
** We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to serve as a financial partner to company leadership of $10M rotational molding company. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or experienced Controller seeking a smaller-company environment where they can make a direct impact.
The successful candidate will oversee the monthly financial close process, support inventory accounting, work closely with operations, and help leadership understand business performance and profitability.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Lead the monthly accounting close process in coordination with the holding company.
* Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
* Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP.
* Analyze monthly operating results and provide insights to company leadership.
* Partner with the President to review financial performance, trends, and profitability.
* Oversee inventory accounting and collaborate with operations to improve accuracy and controls.
* Support and provide leadership to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Develop and improve accounting procedures, reporting processes, and internal controls.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning activities.
* Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
* Coordinate annual audits and external reporting requirements.
* Serve as the primary accounting resource for the business and liaison with the holding company.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
* Minimum 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience.
* Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred.
* Experience leading month-end close activities.
* Ability to analyze financial results and communicate findings to non-financial leaders.
* Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with systems.
