General SummaryThe Coordinator of Special Projects position assists with the ministry of the parish by completing and submitting raffle and other special license applications, maintains raffle financial statements, and review/submit required government submissions for all school and parish functions. The position also includes data entry for miscellaneous collections, ACH deposits, Sunday envelopes, and online giving into Flocknote. The employee executes these efforts with technical expertise within a framework of shared ministry and Catholic values.

- Complete and file Michigan Charitable Gaming Division (MCGD) applications for the Rosary Altar Society, School Raffle, School Auction, and Parish Raffles.
- Meet with appropriate club/group/society representatives as needed.
- Ensure raffles are in compliance with MCGD requirements.
- Maintain and submit raffle financial statements with the assistance of the appropriate club, society or group representative to the MCGD.
- Provide other statements/reports as needed.
- Coordinate all activities associated with the annual DSA including the distribution of materials, tracking and reconciliation of contributions, prepare bank deposits and regular pledge updates to the pastor.

- Provide back‑up for parish office staff when available.
- Other special projects at the discretion of the Business Manager.
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent. Associate degree, Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of three years of experience as a general administrative assistant required. Fluent typing using Microsoft Office. Basic principles of accounting, project management experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities. Maintains confidentiality.
RequiredMust be a practicing Catholic active in his/her parish. Must has a valid driver's license. Must pass background check and attend Virtus Child and Youth Protection Training.
Physical DemandsWhile performing duties, employee has to sit for long periods of time, using their hands in repetitive motion tasks. The position also requires long hours of standing, some stopping, and bending. Employee must be able to lift 50lbs.
