Role Description The Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Grayling, MI, responsible for coordinating the daily administrative operations of the Crawford County Transportation Authority. This role manages front office functions, including answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to rider inquiries, and providing excellent customer service to the community. The Office Manager organizes and maintains records, schedules, and files; processes mail;

prepares routine correspondence; and supports reporting and documentation for transportation operations. The position oversees the use and maintenance of office equipment and supplies, coordinates meeting logistics, and assists leadership with basic bookkeeping, data entry, and compliance-related paperwork. The Office Manager works closely with drivers, dispatch, and management to ensure efficient office workflows and consistent communication across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with riders, staff, vendors, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Administrative Assistance and Office Administration, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and document management.
  • Practical experience with Office Equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, phone systems, and basic office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in business, office administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in an office management, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in public service, transportation, or a similar setting.
  • Dependable work habits, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site during standard business hours as needed by the authority.
