Administrative Assistant To The High School Principal

The Administrative Assistant to the High School Principal serves as the primary support person for the principal and helps ensure the efficient daily operation of the high school office. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to interact positively with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Previous secretarial, administrative assistant, or office experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the High School Principal
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors
  • Manage principal calendars, appointments, meetings, and correspondence
  • Maintain student records and office files in accordance with district policies and state regulations
  • Assist with attendance, discipline, scheduling, and student information systems as assigned
  • Prepare reports, letters, forms, presentations, and other documents
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and activities as directed
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions, and other office-related paperwork
  • Assist with communication through email, phone calls, newsletters, and social media platforms
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and personnel matters
  • Support building operations and perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
