Accounting Specialist - Convenience Store Operations

Position is based out of Bear Lake, MI

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers? We're looking for a C-Store Accounting Specialist to help support our convenience store operations across Michigan.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their office and administrative skills in a stable, team-focused environment. No advanced accounting experience is required. We'll provide training on our systems and processes.

What You'll Do

As a Store Accounting Specialist, you'll help ensure store information is accurate and up to date by reviewing reports, researching discrepancies, and supporting our accounting team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing daily store reports for accuracy
  • Verifying deposits, fuel transactions, lottery activity, and other store paperwork
  • Comparing reports and identifying missing or incorrect information
  • Contacting store teams to resolve questions and discrepancies
  • Entering and updating information in company systems
  • Assisting with customer credit card dispute research
  • Maintaining organized records and documentation
  • Processing incoming mail and other administrative tasks
  • Supporting month-end accounting activities
  • Completing additional projects and assignments as needed

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous office, administrative, retail, banking, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience working with reports, spreadsheets, or cash handling is helpful but not required
