The Newaygo County Administration Office is seeking a professional to fill the Executive Administrative Assistant position. The selected candidate provides high-level administrative support to seven members of the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator, and the Deputy County Administrator by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, providing effective communication, and managing daily logistics to ensure meetings and schedules run smoothly. Another major role of the Executive Administrative Assistant’s position is processing and coordinating responses for Freedom of Information Act Requests (FOIA).
The Administration Office has a strong, cohesive team of ten individuals who are service-oriented and are dedicated to helping the team efficiently operate the organization. Insomuch, the ideal candidate will bring excellent professional, organizational, and communication skills and a strong work ethic to this position.

ResponsibilitiesHigh school graduation or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree is preferred.
ExperienceTwo years of progressively more responsible experience serving in an administrative support role.
Other Required Skills- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain composed and organized when handling frequent interruptions or urgent requests.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload independently and adjust priorities as circumstances change.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and interruptions while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Working Knowledge of the structure of Michigan state and local governments.
