Register patients and verify insurance in all registration areas within My Michigan Health;
Collect co-pays and deductibles at point of discharge and balance cash at end of shift;
Explain insurance coverage and hospital billing policies to patients/families and set up payment plans;
Make financial arrangements for patients without insurance or with inadequate insurance and communicate available financial assistance;
Verify patient eligibility using insurance websites and document coverage information;
Perform inpatient admission functions including direct admits and ED admissions and obtain admission signatures and relevant consent/notification information
